The Challenge

KI required an overhead hanging sign for their tradeshow booth that moved beyond standard, conventional geometries. The client requested a unique structural silhouette that would act as a prominent wayfinding beacon across a crowded exhibition hall while conveying a distinct sense of elegance. Additionally, the design needed to boldly feature their corporate logo alongside their core company tagline, "Furnishing Knowledge."

The Strategic Approach
To break away from traditional circular, square, or rectangular hanging signs, the design strategy utilized a continuous, soft-curved triangular form (inspired by a Reuleaux triangle). This organic, flowing architecture inherently feels more sophisticated and dynamic. To balance the bold corporate branding with the requested elegance, the design employed a layered visual hierarchy: utilizing high-contrast dimensional elements for immediate impact and subtle, intricate background patterns for refinement.

Key Design Features
Organic Tension Fabric Architecture: The core structure is engineered using a large-scale, lightweight tension fabric framework. The uniquely curved, three-sided shape provides a dynamic, continuous viewing angle from any point on the show floor, ensuring 360-degree visibility while maintaining a sleek, modern profile.
Dimensional Corporate Branding: Instead of simply printing the KI logo flat onto the fabric, oversized, 3D dimensional letters in the brand's signature vibrant red were externally mounted to the faces of the structure. This architectural approach to the logo creates depth and high contrast, making the brand mark pop dramatically against the lighter background.
Subtle Damask Patterning: To fulfill the client's request for elegance, a delicate, tone-on-tone light grey damask-inspired pattern was integrated into the white fabric background. This adds a layer of visual texture and sophistication that prevents the large white canvas from feeling stark or utilitarian, enriching the overall aesthetic.
Strategic Tagline Integration: The tagline "Furnishing Knowledge®" is printed in a clean, crisp, dark grey sans-serif font directly adjacent to the bold red logo. By keeping the tagline flat and neutral in color, it acts as a highly legible secondary read that perfectly balances the heavy dimensional logo without competing for visual dominance.

The Result
The final overhead installation is a striking architectural element that successfully acts as both a prominent wayfinding beacon and a powerful brand statement. The unique, flowing shape instantly differentiates KI from surrounding exhibits, while the sophisticated combination of bold dimensional lettering and elegant background patterning perfectly encapsulates the "Furnishing Knowledge" ethos—presenting the brand as an authoritative yet highly refined industry leader.
