The Challenge

The Séura management team wanted to revitalize their employee breakroom, transforming it from a standard corporate lunch area into an inspiring, energetic space. They envisioned an "edgy, modern graphic" that would reflect the company's dynamic culture and celebrate its history without feeling like a traditional, sterile corporate timeline. The artwork needed to hold its own against the room's bold red walls while integrating functional elements for employee communication and daily use.

The Strategic Approach
To achieve the requested "edgy" aesthetic, the design strategy moved away from standard corporate photography and embraced a mixed-media, deconstructed collage approach. By repurposing actual press articles and company milestones into a textural background, the design subtly weaves Séura's success into the environment. The decision to print the digital artwork directly onto raw, natural materials added an industrial-chic warmth that perfectly bridged the gap between modern tech and a comfortable café environment.

Key Design Features
Deconstructed Media Collage: Real published articles and press about the company were digitally "shredded" and treated with a vintage halftone newspaper dot pattern filter. This created a highly textured, abstract background that feels distinctly modern and invites closer inspection without overwhelming the viewer.
Dynamic Geometric Color Blocking: To bring balance, motion, and visual interest to the chaotic halftone base, bold geometric shapes and diagonal lines in teal, magenta, and tan were layered into the composition. These colorful elements break up the verticality of the panels and harmonize with the breakroom's vibrant red walls.
Birch Panel Substrate: The digital artwork was printed directly onto large 4' x 8' birch wood panels. Allowing the natural wood grain to show through the translucent inks adds an organic, tactile warmth to the graphics, complementing the butcher-block style café tables and raw metal chairs below.
Integrated Functionality: The triptych design serves as both art and utility. The left panel features a prominent "SHOUT OUT" section with an integrated sleek metallic board for employee recognition and internal pinning. The center panel is anchored by a stylized, dark chalkboard-inspired "BUSINESS LUNCH" overlay, clearly defining the room's purpose. The right panel proudly features the Séura logo, subtly tying the abstract composition back to the overarching brand identity.

The Result
The installation successfully transforms the breakroom into a vibrant, cafe-like environment that energizes employees. The bold, edgy graphics reflect Séura's innovative spirit, creatively turning past press achievements into a cool, abstract architectural feature. By combining raw materials with digital artistry, the space achieves a modern, industrial-chic aesthetic that is both highly functional and culturally enriching for the Séura team.
