The Challenge
Séura, a premium manufacturer of designer technology, required a versatile tradeshow booth that could simultaneously showcase two vastly different product lines: their rugged, high-performance outdoor TVs and their elegant, vanishing indoor mirror TVs.
The design needed to contextualize these products in their natural environments—blending the lines between a high-end outdoor patio and a luxury interior space. Furthermore, the client had a strict functional requirement: the booth had to incorporate a discreet, high-capacity storage area for shipping boxes and collateral without sacrificing valuable floor space or disrupting the premium aesthetic.
The Strategic Approach
To solve the dual-environment challenge, the design strategy relied on contextual zoning through materiality. Instead of building literal rooms, the design utilized distinct wall textures and architectural finishes to instantly communicate the intended environment for each product line.
The footprint was anchored by a central architectural column that served a dual purpose: acting as a bold branding tower and housing the requested hidden storage.
Key Design Features
The "Outdoor" Zone: To feature Séura’s outdoor TVs, we designed a striking faux-boxwood hedge wall. This lush, green texture immediately communicated an outdoor patio setting, providing the perfect contextual backdrop to mount the weatherproof displays. The environment was further enhanced by curved, dark wicker outdoor lounge chairs with contrasting white cushions, inviting attendees to sit and experience the screens just as they would in a residential backyard.
The "Indoor" Luxury Gallery: To showcase the vanishing mirror TVs, the adjacent walls were wrapped in a sleek, matte black finish paired with warm, natural wood-toned panels. This created a high-contrast, sophisticated gallery atmosphere. The dark, minimalist background allowed the reflective surfaces of the mirror TVs to pop, emphasizing the "invisible" nature of the technology when the screens were turned off.
Hidden-in-Plain-Sight Storage: The logistical need for storage was solved by integrating a walk-in closet directly into the central black branding structure. A flush, seamless black door with minimal hardware was designed into the wall directly behind the reception counter. When closed, it practically disappeared into the architecture, maintaining the booth's premium, uncluttered appearance while easily hiding bulky shipping containers and extra marketing materials.
Brand Activation & Lighting: The Séura logo and infinity icon were prominently displayed using dimensional, illuminated signage on both the black header and the glass-topped reception desk. Strategic overhead track lighting was employed to highlight the screens on the hedge wall and cast warm, inviting pools of light over the premium finishes and floral arrangements.
The Result
The resulting booth was a masterclass in spatial efficiency and brand storytelling. By using texture and high-end materials to define the product zones, the design successfully guided attendees through Séura’s diverse catalog. The seamless integration of a hidden storage room ensured that the brand's premium, high-tech aesthetic remained the sole focus of the tradeshow floor, proving that form and function can coexist beautifully.
