Short but Sweet
My temporary appointment on the web acceleration team in the marketing department at UWGB was only a few months before I was called away to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. However, in that short time, my design and development skills blossomed. Working with this dynamic team of professionals in the fast pace world of UX/UI design was rewarding and valuable for my development as a UX/UI professional.
Job Description: Develops and designs the user interface and overall user experience for websites and applications. May train staff and direct the work of others. Contributes to digital media strategic initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert regarding website design and layout.
The Web Designer works with a primary focus on website design, maintenance, and user experience.
The Web Designer is a member of the Office of Marketing and University Communication and reports to the Web Design Team. The Office of Marketing and University Communication brings UW-Green Bay’s story to life in creative and compelling ways, honoring brand identity and standards, and at the same time, assuring communications effectively speak to varying target audiences. Utilizing a strategic mix of traditional and emerging marketing and communication channels, the team utilizes an integrated approach that considers both marketing and communication strategies, while collaborating with University and community subject matter experts to highlight UW-Green Bay students, faculty, staff, alumni, and academic programs that are on the rise and making a difference in our region.
